1906年（明治39）、九州鉄道がアメリカのブリル社に発注した客車です。しかし、車両が納品された時、九州鉄道は国有化されていました。木造客車の円熟期に作られた素晴らしい客車でしたが、国鉄では「私鉄のものは使わない」という意識からか、大して使われることもなく田町操車場に放置されていました。

鉄道ファンには「或る列車」の名でしられている客車を、信太郎は田町操車場で一度だけ見学したことがあります。模型化にあたりステンドグラスはレーザープリントでガラスに色をつけ、窓枠や複雑な形の展望デッキの手すりなどは、ロストワックスで精密鋳造。完成まで7年の歳月を要しました。さらにこのデザインを鋼製化した編成もつくられています。

This is a passenger car ordered by Kyushu Railway from Brill Company in the United States in 1906 (Meiji 39). However, when the train was delivered, the Kyushu Railway was nationalized. It was a wonderful passenger car made during the maturity period of wooden passenger cars, but it was left in Tamachi Classification yard without much use, probably because of the consciousness that "I do not use private railways" at the Japanese National Railways. Nobutaro has visited Tamachi Classification yard only once for a passenger car known as "a certain train" for railroad fans. For modeling, the stained glass is laser-printed to color the glass, and the window frames and the handrails of the observation deck with complicated shapes are precision-cast with lost wax. It took seven years to complete. In addition, a steel knitting of this design is also made.
