車体の前後に2組の駆動装置を備えたガラット型蒸気機関車。重量貨物列車用として急曲線、急勾配を無理なく走行できるように設計された。旧イギリス領で多く使われている。

This is a Garratt-type steam locomotive equipped with two sets of drive units at the front and rear of the car body. It was designed for heavy freight trains to run on steep curves and gradients without difficulty. It is widely used in the former British territory.
